Reliez Valley Lafayette CA Video | Team Rothenberg

Lafayette’s beautiful Reliez Valley can be found in the northeast quadrant of the city. Exiting Highway 24 at Pleasant Hill Road, it’s a two minute drive to Reliez Valley Road where the valley begins. Lush, oak-studded hills embrace the Reliez Valley with verdant green hues during the majority of the year, but turn golden during the summer heat. The valley is conveniently located to the center of town, BART, area freeways, and Lafayette’s fine schools. In fact, for some Reliez Valley residents, both Springhill Elementary School and Acalanes High School are within walking distance. School bus service is available from throughout the valley from elementary through middle school.

The Reliez Valley has a distinct rural feel to it… countrified living in a dramatic setting. Beautiful homes are scattered among the hills and valley floor, and there are several “neighborhood” communities that remind many of those found in traditional east coast neighborhoods. One of the most intimate and charming of these neighborhoods is Silver Dell. Highly sought-after for its convenient location and surrounding beauty, the homes display a variety of architectural interpretations of the “country rancher”… some with high-peaked roofs, some with steeples, and all are distinctive. It is known as a neighborhood where residents get to know one another, sometimes have summer barbeques together, and children often play in the many tranquil courts.

A little further into the Reliez Valley, you’ll find Baywood, a gated community with approximately 90 distinctive homes. This highly sought-after area is nestled in between rolling hills and embraced by thousands of acres of Briones Regional Park open space, with miles of hiking, mountain biking, and riding trails. Baywood is also known for its intimate “feel” and its many gorgeous homes that are adjacent to dedicated open space. With over a mile of streets that wind through the valley floor, residents can easily walk or ride their bikes through the community and get to know their neighbors, while still enjoying the tranquility of large lots surrounded by dramatic natural beauty. Like Silver Dell, children can often be found playing in the streets and visiting neighboring friends.

In other areas of the Reliez Valley, larger 1+ acre parcels abound with homes ranging from ranch style to grand estate properties. Many were originally intended for those who seek horse property, others have been adapted for vineyards, and some owners simply enjoy the tranquility that larger lots inherently offer. We know you’ll love the Reliez Valley as much as we do.
